ABOUT ME I first started training in Ishinryu Karate at the age of 4 in 2000, under instructors Sensei Bruce Hyland and Sensei Des Murphy. I achieved my first belt late 2000. I then started competition in the NAS (National All styles) and also under the AKF (Australian Karate Federation) banner. I participated in the Tony Hails All Styles Open Course twice that allowed me to train with and be trained by many talented international martial artists. In 2007 I was finally graded to 1st Dan black belt. When I moved to Echuca in 2008 I started studying GoJu Karate for a year until I was given the opportunity to be an assistant instructor with Shotokan Karate. In 2011 I left Shotokan and started studding the art of Muay Thai and 6 months later graded to my yellow singlet.
